Shipping & Returns FAQ

Q: When will my order ship?

A: We'll ship your order within 1-3 business days, usually the morning after you place your order.

Q: Do you ship to my country?

A: Most likely, yes! We're proud to send our kits to DIYers all over the world.

We will ship to any country served by USPS (see full list here) as well as APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Q: How long does shipping take?

A: Domestic shipping typically takes 2-3 business days, depending on your location. International shipments typically take 2-3 weeks via USPS or 2-6 days via FedEx. You can track your shipment via the tracking number in your shipping confirmation email.

Q: Is there a traceable international shipping option?

A: Our cheapest option, USPS First Class International, is not fully traceable. For a fully traceable option, please select USPS Priority International or FedEx during checkout.

Q: Will I need to pay any import fees?

Yes, most international customers will owe some import duties to their local customs agency. As the importer, you're responsible for any taxes, duties, or fees assessed by your local customs agency.

We declare all items as “Merchandise” with the actual amount of your purchase on the customs form. Please don't ask us to modify the amount on the customs form; we can't do it, sorry!

Q: Do you accept returns?

A: It's ok to change your mind. If you decide you don't want your kit before building it, you can return it to us within 30 days of your order for a refund, minus the shipping costs. Please contact us for a return and we'll send you an RMA number and return shipping label.

Unfortunately, we can't accept returns after you've started soldering. Once the iron gets hot, you are the manufacturer.

Q: Do you offer repair services?

Yes, we offer a Last Ditch Repair Service in case you hit a snag in your build that we can't figure out via the support form below.

Common Issues

I accidentally damaged a component.

No problem. We can send you replacement parts; we just ask that you cover the actual cost of shipping and parts.

Please open a ticket below to request replacement parts.

My kit was missing a part / a part arrived damaged.

We're really sorry about that. Please open a ticket and we will get any missing or damaged parts out to you right away at our expense.

My package hasn't arrived yet (USA).

If your package hasn't arrived after 15 days, we'll consider it lost and send a replacement. Of course we don't want to make you wait 15 days, but technically USPS can make an "on time" delivery within this window.

Please open a ticket to report an undelivered package.

My package hasn't arrived yet (international).

If your package hasn't arrived, odds are it's stuck with your local customs office. Contact your local customs or postal office to see if they are holding your package. They may be able to identify your package via the USPS tracking/customs number provided in your shipping confirmation email.

Sometimes, if your customs agency can't contact you within a certain time period, they may return the package to us. If this happens, you have the choice of a) receiving a refund for your order, minus the shipping cost or b) having your order re-shipped for the re-shipment cost.

If you cannot locate your package after 45 days, we'll consider it lost and send a replacement. We hate asking you to wait this long, but we have seen numerous international packages delivered within this window.
