IJ Research MixBUZZ 500 Stereo Compressor

The MixBUZZ is a version of the SSL stereo buss compressor adapted for the 500-series/51x Alliance format.  The creator offers a partial kit containing front panel, aluminum mounting bracket, and PCBs on his Prodigy-Pro white market store.

Notable Features:

• “Turbo mod” built in: switch between Aarhus (summed) or Oxford (dual mono) stereo-linking
• Adjustable sidechain filters:
  • 40, 80, or 160hz high-pass
  • Tilt-Medium (TM) Tilt-Loud (TL)
• Option to use DBX202x or THAT Corp. ICs for VCA
• Relay bypass
• Occupies two spaces in a 500-series rack
