DIYRE Seeking Social Media Content and Ad Manager

We are looking for a freelance social media specialist to support our marketing director, who can plan and schedule content for our social media channels, with the aim of growing our customer base. This specialist’s deliverables will include scheduling and managing social media content, running campaigns, and reporting on social media metrics. We’re looking for someone who has a consistent grasp on current social media platforms and has an eye for engaging content, specifically in the jargon-heavy pro audio/music industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage content schedulers like Buffer or similar
  • Manage social media communities and to grow audience engagement
  • Create ad campaigns across platforms to reach new customers
  • Maintain proficiency and knowledge of latest social media technologies and best practices (i.e. new tools, algorithm changes, platform enhancements)
  • Present new campaign ideas to team
  • Respond to social media comments

Skills and experience

  • Experience scheduling and managing social media for social media channels
  • Knowledge of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube
  • Good copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to engage audiences
  • Create paid social media ad campaigns, including writing, general creative direction, targeting optimization and budget management
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Passion for all things social
  • Adobe experience preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator)

The social media manager will work as an independent contractor for DIYRE on an ongoing basis. The contractor will be expected to track their own time and bill DIYRE monthly.
