Putting these together was relatively easy except that wires were a bit short on one unit. So I had to solder extensions, insulate them, then connect them to the transducer. Be careful to remember which wire goes where if you solder extensions that are different colors. The other kit had wires that were long enough. Testing them yielded a warm and smooth sound that was much more pleasing to hear than the cheap condensers I have. Initial tracks recorded were heavier on the low end so I have much to learn with microphone positioning. What I really like about them is the directional pickup pattern that seems to take room noise out of the equation. Output wasn't weak as I was able to get enough gain using my existing preamps and didn't need a cloud lifter although I am considering this later. Overall I am pleased with the sound and these mice are the best ones I own right now.
