SB-30 Stereo Blumlein Bar

As I’ve done on other stereo mic bars, adding rubber ‘washers’ cut from rubber roofing sheet scraps made the knobs easier to operate. I have suggested this item to sE Electronics to add this product to their mic accessories ine but improve the product with better parts, as I have described.
The metal-to-metal contact produces a galling effect against the bar powder coating that makes loosening and tightening require extreme force to work and is very difficult to position the mics when mounted.
Otherwise, the knurled knobs are a good size for gripping and the bar is thick enough to hold it’s shape (a little thicker wouldn’t hurt.)

This is the latest of 5 or 6 stereo bars that I own. Each of the others has something about it that just isn't right for me. This one is flexible, machined really well, sturdy, locks tightly, etc.. I wish the attachment to the stand could have some kind of pivot to it, but that would also make it more expensive, so I'm using a third party adapter.

Just needed to make a mic stand hold two mics and this does the job and is good quality, like everything from DIYRE.

$25 for a quality-finished solid metal bracket is great. 1/8 inch thick, so the bracket is very sturdy, holds my two AKG Pro P420s securely. Knobs are solid quality, as well. I highly recommend.
